Usually, it was the geeky uncle, ahead of the game, interested in technology who was the one holding the camera ( of course, nobody else was allowed to touch it due to its complexity and hi-tech features) Super 8mm followed in the footsteps of Double 8mm but due to its more cost-effective design, quickly climbed to the top.
